We are happy to announce the release of aMule 2.2.4 - The "we didn't have a .4 version since... well... long ago" version This release is intended to be the last of the 2.2.x series, however, noone knows what future brings... Randomly picking some changes in this release: - Adapted for newest support libraries, such as crypto++-5.6.0, GeoIP-1.4.6, etc
- Several improvements in Kademlia routing
- Fixes of rare, occasional and frequent crashes (just a joke, aMule never crashes
) - ...and many many more...
Please see the Changelog for a list of all changes. Grab the sources or official packages at the download page or check the forum for user contributed packages. You can get the sources also via ed2k://|file|aMule-2.2.4.tar.bz2|4705472|f86442ce673fb59e98616c1234b10ede|/

And you can rest assured it will be bug free: I didn't write a byte of the changes!
So great job, and thank you to the rest of the team.

That's unfortunately true.

And as usual, is anyone can compile a Mac OS X version ? Thanks for all the team of aMule who make a really great job on this soft and allow Linux and Mac users to use an "eMule clone" (it's a compliment !)

aMule 2.2.4 really helped me turn my life around. I quit huffing paint and enrolled in a local technical institute.
Thanks, 2.2.4!

As always, a big THANKS to the hardworking devs for the new release.
One question: what is the name of the IP-lookup library under Fedora? I installed GeoIP-devel but that wasn't it.
TIA

It would be nice and respectful to your Mac community if you would wait to do a release until you have a working version for us ready as well. After all, aMule is advertised as "The All Platform eMule-like P2P Client".
That said, we are looking for the OSX version.
